I started to post last night, but then my WI-Fi just quit for whatever crazy reasons electronic things have. It's back today, though, so back to my blog!
Last night I was reflecting on how some writing should be evaluated before being shared. For instance, I wrote a poem that concerns, mainly, people who are no longer living; however there are people who may be hurt or upset by this poem. I wrestled with posting it, because there are some who may read it and benefit. in the end though, I have decided that if it is to see an audience, it will be because I submitted it to a publication where those who will benefit or relate will be most likely to read it. Barring that, it may be submitted as part of a future book. I don't know, yet. Tell me what you think!
So, instead of that poem, I shall share another!
Cry
The drop escapes
From the corner
Of her eye.
A single drop.
Alone.
Calls for reinforcement
As it is wiped
Away,
They come slowly.
One
Or two
At a time.
More join.
Escaping in groups,
Then crowds,
Then a stampede.
Escaping in waves,
Until she is spent.
Exhausted.
